I can't even describe how many times friends gathered around my TV screen and having a blast.... and I'm talking about friends that they weren't even gamers... they were hooked by the gameplay and they joined instantly!!!!
And my mother is 64 years old and she still wins If that's not an achievement... I don't know what is!!!!

Am I the only one still watching in 2020? I can't get over the nostalgic pull of this and the N64 in general! Great job as always Glenn.

A game I would dare describe as perfect. Find myself coming back even after 20+ years

Damn this game has aged well. It still looks brilliant.

I love this game and I still play it to this day. This was my favorite Mario Kart game until Mario Kart 8 came out. I hate to admit it, because I'm a old school gamer, but Mario Kart 8 is so much better and it's really not a contest. That's not to put down Mario Kart 64, it just says how good Mario Kart 8 is in my opinion.

I would say this is the best game ever on any console. Your video makes me excited about the upcoming N64 Classic, which will surely include MK64. Can't wait to see your review of that also. All good wishes!

How can you not adress battle mode in this review :O? There's never been a better one. Maybe on the Gamecube.

All these years later my wider family still play this game. It just never gets old...they don't make games like this anymore.

This is definitely my favorite Mario Kart. I remember being taught the Wario Stadium and Rainbow Road skips. I was in awe when I saw them performed and now I love pulling of the skips myself!

Almost every two weeks my friends and I still play this game. To this day, we're still finding new techniques to screw each other over in races!

Probably the reason why they couldn't do 4 player Grand prix is because of hardware limitations, otherwise I think they would've done it. What a statement that would've been for the Nintendo 64

Rainbow road's music brings tears to my eyes every time, Reminds me of school holidays spent with my younger brother and twin friends who would always come over. We would play Maro Kart and Mario Party for hours on end. Good times :')

awesome review buddy. to this day, this game is probably my top favorite racing game of all time. people like to say that the n64 hasnt aged well over the years, but when you show them a game like this, it quickly debunks any debate they could make. its still as much fun as the first day i played it, and thats what makes it such a great game

Interestingly, although I had this game way back when it came out, I don’t remember a whole lot about it (compare to Goldeneye which was just out of this world at the time for us). However, as I revisited this game, I’m surprised at how good the controls are, and how fun overall the game is. And as my kids love the multiplayer aspect as well, it’s sure to create a lot of memories w 4 players (me and the 3 kids). Great review again, and would love to see a top 10 n64 games from you whenever you have some free time!

Excellent review!! Mario Kart 64 was a classic!!

I have fond memories of my and my brother playing this at Toys R Us, and later I got an N64 game for Christmas, Diddy Kong Racing was my first game while Mario Kart 64 was my 2nd. Me and my brother both decided we prefered MK64's multiplayer mode to that of Diddy Kong's.

I don't get to play multiplayer Mario Kart anymore. Nowadays I'm a bit of a billy no mates. *SIGH*
