It's obvious how he really did it. He used a projector to make the head hologram, shook the room by using a speaker system connected to the floor, replaced the windows with TV screens showing a fake outside, tied him up by the waist and lifted him up while lowering a circular screen around him to show a space background, used a fan on the ceiling to give the illusion of motion and blasted the heater to make it warmer. Easy.
