'OPTIONS' | Chester's AE86 Trueno | HALCYON (4K)

Everyone has a specific vehicle platform they love. For Chester, that's the AE86.. in fact, he has seven of them. Yes, seven. One for each day of the week. Not a bad problem to have, huh? The cleanest of the bunch, in my opinion, is this iconic white/black AE86 with very period correct styling. Featuring a shaved engine bay, and a strong NA motor sporting ITB's, it's a fun go kart for the street.

This video is a special one to me. It was filmed on November 22nd, 2020. It's sat for just about a year on my computer, unedited. After reviewing the shots upon returning home from the shoot, I felt discouraged with what I captured. I let that get to my head and ignored the video for some time while I was feeling pretty down overall, something I explained in a community post a while back. Life got busy, and the project got put on the back burner. I'm in a better place mentally now, and if there's any advice I can offer from this situation is that it is better to put your work out there, rather than letting it sit because you are trying to chase perfection. Try not to let things get to your head so much, self-doubt can kill your creativity and motivation.

this hits even harder after chester's passing. truly an inspiration to me since i was 17. made me fall in love with the 86 platform in general. i saw him drift the purple 86 at lock city & was like "shit 86s can b built to this level??'. if japan got tsuchiya san, then we got chester stateside for our generation.
