What paper do you use for FPP? Foundation paper piecing is my favorite quilting technique. But what paper is best? I love using tea bag paper, Freezer paper and sometimes normal printing paper.

The technique is Foundation Paper Piecing. You Can make a large sampler (63 x 84 inch) or the smaller version (43 x 56 inch).

Hi Irene, I have never heard of tea bag paper available for quilting. It would be light and strong and could be used as a stabilizer. Great idea! The quilt behind you is adorable 😊

Thank you for making you videos in English. I'm excited to use your freezer paper method on a project. My next one won't have a repeated block, so I'll be sitting in front of the television pulling out bits of graph paper. (I don't computer-draft my quilts, just old-fashion pencil and ruler.)

Just simple pattern paper works also fine. Earlier this year, I've made my own fpp pattern (a huge Walter the Dragon from Lilliputien). Pattern paper was the easiest way transfer the picture and turned out to be the cheapest also. Tea bag paper was initially my first choice bit isn't easy to get in the place I live.

Hi Irene, I use a regular parchment paper for FPP that I use for copying my sewing patterns. Works well for me and it's easily accessable in Poland, where I live :) Teavbag paper sounds good too, not sure if it's the same thing? Would love to see how the freezer paper works!
BTW, love the quilt behind you, bought the book and I will try to organize the time to join the QAL! 🤞🤞

Irene where do you get your teabag paper? I’m struggling to find it here in Canada

I usually use freezer paper (love) or lighter weight printer paper. I gave tea bag paper a try and do not care for it, as it isn’t providing any stability for the block and will tear and bunch up in the quilt once the quilt has been washed. Ask me how I know. It was a lightly quilted quilt (3 inches apart) so it might be different for a densely quilted quilt.

Ik heb altijd vlieseline gebruikt, die kan je ook gewoon laten zitten en in de was doen.
Maar ik ben ook een hele grote tea bag paper fan 😁
