How to Change your STEAM Profile Name (Easy Tutorial)

Changing your Steam profile name is a straightforward process. You can do it through the Steam desktop app, the Steam phone app, or the Steam website. Here are the steps for each method:

Steam Desktop App:
Click on your username in the top right corner.
Select “Profile” from the dropdown menu.

On your profile page, click “Edit Profile” (located on the right-hand side).
Scroll down to the “General” section.

Enter your desired username and, if you want a custom URL that matches your username, provide that as well.
Finally, click the big “Save” button.

Steam Phone App:
Open the Steam phone app and access your friends list (it opens to this by default).

Tap the three horizontal bars in the top left corner to access the profile page.

Tap your profile picture or your name at the top.
Select “Edit Profile”.

Enter your preferred username in the provided box. You can also set an optional custom URL name.

Steam Website:

Log in to Steam.
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner (or click your name and then select “Profile” from the dropdown menu).

Click “Edit Profile” on the right-hand side of the window.

In the “General” section, enter your new username. You can also set a custom URL for your profile here.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Save” button in the right-hand corner. The change should be immediate.

Remember that you can change your username as often as you’d like, and Steam will display your previous names (aliases) on your profile page
