Smashing ride Neil! I've been jamming similar to your ride at least once a week when riding alone. Saturday I crammed in 20.5 mi, 2600' vert in 1hr 49min. 50% eco, 30% trail and 20% boost, which is crazy, so I use that only on super steep climbs. Bottom line; I enjoy better work outs, in less time, way more fun and easily stay within my optimum HR using my Garmin HR monitor. E-powah is a no brainer! Oh, btw I'm 58. Keep up the great vids.

only get about 1100 metres elevation on shimano motor in trail mode and i have been hearing a lot of complaints through the trade about the lack of range with these motors. im about 10kg lighter than neil for reference. neil can you tell me what you would get in the middle setting on your bike please?

I have a story about ebikes....i was out on my road bike (specialized allez sprint full blown aero set up. Zipp 60 wheels, s-works Aerofly bars and 1x) dude passed me upright like the wiked witch of the West and I tried to keep up with him. I was holding almost 400w for about 3 miles and I was absolutely infuriated because he was just pulling on me. To top it all off he had a tail light that was taunting me the entire time. Ebikes are cool. But there in a different world from non motor assisted bikes.

I do like 1500 m If im out for a day, Thats so rad!!! You Could do like 2000 in 2 Hours. Didn‘t Expect it to be as much. And those 82km/h Looked Scary

Geez! That’s 3 times the elevation this old fogey can achieve in that time. As for top speed that’s quick. Only ever done 79 kph on tarmac and that was scary - with hindsight 😏 #neilthenutter
