If you double tap the camera control, that’s how you cycle between camera setting types (i.e. you don’t need to touch the screen at all if you master camera control)

The inclusion of the Camera Control on the regular 16 and 16 Plus was the main reason I upgraded to the 16 Plus over the 16 Pro Max. I wanted the fun color (in my case, ultramarine, though my wife’s teal looks superb), and I wanted a phone that visibly looks new, without sacrificing on the main camera features that I want/use.

You actually get 4X zoom at 12MP with that 48MP sensor, so it kinda makes up for the missing camera

I still own a regular iPhone 11 and I am thinking to upgrade. My favourite is the 16 Plus. I don’t like the Pro models (look, weight, price) but the cameras… I may wait for the SE 4 or make an intermediate update to a 14 Plus or 15 Plus.

What about "iPhone 16 vs iPhone 15 pro"? That's a trickier choice, if both are the same price?

I’ve gone from an IPhone 14 Pro Max to the IPhone 16 in Ultramarine. I love the size and the color. It’s perfect. I never used the telephoto lens on my 14 Pro Max. I prefer to take Macro photos. If the 16 Pro would have been available in a beautiful color, then maybe I would have chosen that one. I’m really happy with my phone and am not missing my Pro Max.

16s is the best deal this year. The pros not so much. They got a new camera layout, action button and capture control for standard all in one year.

I purchased the iPhone 16 coming from the 14 pro and the only thing that I noticed right away was the refresh rate no pro motion. Overall this phone was picked over the 16 pro because I was tired of looking at the same device basically from the back since the 11 pro. I like the camera lay out and device still being at 6"1 and lighter. The black with a stone gray case looks awesome.
