We said YES to four teenage foster girls and want to share our experience.

Teens are great! But we did some things wrong with setting up device expectations and share what we will do in the future in this next video:

13:56 It's good that they are learning to go to their other trusted adults even when the adults aren't taking their sides. More kids in and out of the system need to learn that.

9:09 I have zero experience or interest in foster care, but you are just wholesome people who really have a gift for parenting. Most parents get 12 years of practice before teenagers.

I am so sorry about all the struggles your family has been facing and all while taking on new placements...I am so glad you had not only God to strengthen you, but good friends to help support you through it all. This was such an encouragement to me as we have had lots of medical emergencies and the feeling of everything going wrong at once and it really was very overwhelming. So to hear your perseverance through all of this is so encouraging! I will be praying for you both and your sister in laws to fully recover too. 🙏💜 I also want to commend you on your bravery for opening your doors to so many kiddos at once and letting teens in. I hope to be able to do the same one day. I am confident you will inspire others to love these teenagers who desperately need a good home. Thank you for what you do and the videos you make. I know that in itself is time consuming. You and Peter are doing such a great job and what you do will have such a great impact for God's kingdom! You are both amazing! Keep up the good work😊❤

Great video! I love your content, you show the reality of foster care and thanks to you we can learn a lot. I love your energy, you are exactly where you were meant to be. You are changing the lives of these children, your influence will be with them forever. Keep up the good work and stay strong. Can't wait for next videos. Maybe it will be the news of the new kids?

Thankz. For taking teens I have comment a lot. Since u started I started leaving comments when u had those 3 kids for almost 2 years. I’m a foster kidd I’m a teen now it’s always been hard to place me cuz of my medical stuff but just this year. I got placed in a home that I feel loved and that I’m not returnable. Not have Ing my phone all the time. Cuz they wanted me to be lived was the best thing. I have a long time before I age out but it scares me but having a channel like yours make me see there’s hope. I still hope I will be adopted for the last time in foster care I been in foster care since my tummy mom was pregnant with me. I have been adopted 9 times Been in 10 ish homes back and forth teens are forgotten we are potty trained. We are funny we can be your best friends we can make u laugh and we are not discarded things lots of placements when they look. At my file. The day yes at first then when they read my file. They. Say no A lot of people not u guys but want kids baby’s. And it’s a little easier That’s why. Baby’s. And younger kids. At notice more How I got this placement I. Spoke up I talked at this. Foster placement. BBQ. Shared my story and. That’s how. I got a home. Thankz for making this channel I will be praying for. Your sister s in law.

Can you please make a video about just the games you play, including the age ranges for the games and activities. You really sparked my interest. 😊 Thanks!

Wow!!! You guys are crazy awesome! 🤪 Also, you might like crazy middles & crazy pieces. They foster to adopt sibling groups to keep kids together and help find missing siblings and sometimes parents/ family members. Crazy middles does the same meal plan that you used but they have a discount code.

17:52 Hungryroot is good too. All recipes are 4 ingredients and are great even for just meal planning ideas.

With the financial stuff, I think Scott Papes book Barefoot Kids could be very good! I read it a little while ago, and it has helped me a lot with money stuff. Not sure how suitable it is to a foster enviroment, but I think it could be good to check out? (Im fairly sure its Australian though, not sure how accurate for where youre from)

I'm in East TN and children in Foster Care are not allowed to have cell phones nor are they allowed to get drivers licenses. I'm curious as to who pays for the cell service?

My husband and I are newly approved to be resource parents in California. I don't know if other states use this term for foster parents, but that's what CA calls it.

We have a pre-placement visit scheduled in a few days. My husband and I have discussed with and come up with some house rules and expectations, but really don't know how and when it would be appropriate to bring them up to the teen. We want to be clear with the expectations, but not intimidate or overwhelm them right off the bat. How did you guys bring up your household rules and expectations to the teens you've fostered?

Dave Ramsey has a teen finance curriculum you could to through with them.

Hey, I’m just saying that $40 pays for nothing nowadays. And the taking the devices really concerns me, those kids are walking into a strangers homes, and are expected to give up their connection to the life they are coming from. Not to mention those are their possessions, and I can understand that they may not pay for the phone, but limiting screen time is not always the most important thing at the moment. Hope you learn ❤

I don’t know why (well ok I do know why but don’t wanna say) but this couple creeps me out. He’s so creepy, she’s so hyper and full of anxiety pretending to be happiness. It’s all…creepy. I wouldn’t feel safe with them. I don’t think the kids could say that they felt safe. I got to 12:38 where they start talking about cops and nope. NOPE.

I get such a bad stomach feeling from this video.
