Here in the Republic of Vanuatu it is legal for anyone to ride on the back of trucks. Tourists [mostly Australian] really enjoy the experience when they come over and get to do something they can not do back home.

In Texas it's illegal for anyone under 18 to ride in the bed or flatbed of a pickup truck.

Apparently Louisiana is one of the more lenient states when it comes to this so that's pretty cool

Ride all the time to the beach or camp site with family, yes it is a risk, we drive slower to try and be careful, I'm in small town mexico. It is fun especially when it rains 😂. Have fun

It's not illegal in Minnesota, but I would never let anyone ride in my pickup bed, nor do it myself, I can just imagine someone getting hurled out of the box in an accident

When my dad goes to park his pick up truck in front if our house I ride in the back. It’s only like a 15 seconds ride tho and it’s so fun

In PA it's apparently legal if you're driving <35mph and everyone is over 18

This was completely normal when I grew up no matter what State you were in....

I don't know about all 50 states but I do know there's a brat seat or bed seat or something like that goes in the bed of the truck and I think all you need leagl is a lap belt I believe but I have some seats with full harness and if im wrong someone please correct me (do it nicely though please)
