I use denture tablets to clean my jewelry, a little warm water, a quarter of a cup/in a mug, leave it alone for an hour! My mother-in-law taught me that tip years ago. Adorable pair!

I was looking up the Effanbee sleeping babyette, I seen one on Ebay in its origina clothes, it had a light pink gown with lace and came in a bassinet. Not sure about other clothes, but it's a beautiful baby.

I just started to collect a few baby dolls from the 30's, 40's and 50's but not really a baby doll collector as I'm more a Vintage Fashion Figure kind of dolls like Toni's and Miss Relvon, sweet sue, etc:)...I got a tiny tears I think a few months ago with the hard plastic head and rubber body which is in really great shape with no drying out condition and love her but haven't gotten to cleaning her up and dressing as I still need to get a few more of clothes to other dolls in the line who would also wear the PJ's you have on the 1 doll, they could be wore by Tiny Tears, your two dolls and I think 1 other from the same time period...I have a book for EFF-BEE dolls from 1949 and both of yours dolls including mine are listed and pictured in it:)...Thanks for sharing Tammy!!...Love and Light:)!!

Babyette was dressed. In a christening gown and in a decorated basket when I got her for Christmas inthe 1940s!

I have a Dye see baby where the rubber was cracked at the elbow. I actually used a product they make doll miniatures out of and built up and painted the rip. It turned out great and the arm seems quite stable now.

They are both adorable. There was a TV show called how clean is your house it was about these two British ladies who would clean houses they used Denture tablets on lace curtains. That's how I learned to use a towel to dry delicate things. They soaked the lace curtains in denture tablets then took them out and dried them with towels. The curtains came out beautiful. Have a great day.

Loved dolls are the best dolls, even if they are a little worn :-)

What? My son wore gowns! Yellow, lavender, and green. They were cheap to make and easy to get to the diaper.

I have the denture tablets but didn't used because I was afraid to stain the fabric. The color of the tablet was green. So please show us the video when you do it. Thanks

They were made of early forms of rubber and so why they dry out and crack and peel all over the body if they doll wasn't stored right!!:)...the red dress could be used on a 14" Honey doll or 14" compo dolls like patsy and suzanne etc kind of doll...the Honey dolls had the attached panty on their short dresses for the most part..hope that helps with idea for the dress:)

Very sweet dolls. I want to ask you, ive been trying to find me a vintage doll and ive been looking different places. A lot of tjem are on E Bay and it says pay this price. Alot of them have been pretty cheap and some have some issues. I notice the shipping and handling seems to be more than the doll itself. Is this pretty common? Is there a certain place i can go to where i can buy vintage dolls other than E Bay. Im sorry i didnt know who to ask this, im looking for some big baby dolls. I love to dress them. I have a few big baby dolls but they arent old at all. If you can help out in any way i would appreciate it. Thanks so much. Kim Speers.

hi tammy love your dolls, I am in Hamilton Ontario Canada, where would be the best place to find and get the effanbee baby doll, I would love to have one, I not that long ago acquired a Shirley Temple doll she needs some cleaning and a little work on the cracking but not in too bad of shape, I usually get porcelain dolls from thrift shops clean them up and make new clothes so they are not as dated haven't tried selling them yet but might this year some time.. I have one old composition doll from reliable I believe its pre 1930 the head lost most of the composition but I believe it can still be fixed been watching your videos and want to thank you so much for them huge huge help, thanks
