Polarcoaster - Akhlús | Ambient with the Jordan Boss Tone Fuzz

I love building DIY guitar pedals and recently I decided to make some ambient with the Jordan Boss Tone clone I built a while back, the Musikding The Boss. This Fuzz pedal is a really easy build that is great for beginners, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to show you that pedal in particular. It sounds pretty mellow for a Fuzz pedal, so I wanted to put something unusual through it, in this case my steel tongue drum. Taming that wild combination was a bit of a challenge, but I'm happy with how the track came together in the end! And of course a build video for the Boss Tone Fuzz pedal will be coming soon too!

Hearing this at the wrong time of day!!! Too early in the morning!!! This would sound much better turned down and very late in the afternoon😊 My brain is still mush from sleep😝 Hoping things are going well for you at present. I've only just got over that bug that I caught. My brother's dose hasn't quite fully gone. There's been a bit of a nasty cold virus going around here at home of late. The doc told me a lot of people have come down with it. I thought, when I caught it, it might be covid but I tested negative and so did my brother, so we were lucky.

You can tame the fuzz with a filter behind it. That's why some fuzz pedals have a filter pot so you can get a distorted lowend sound without too much higher overtones and easier to tame.

I love this filtered fuzz sound on my deep synth bass sounds.

On the other hand: there is probably not much lowend on a tongue drum like that?
