How to Draw a Butterfly Tutorial

With so many watercolor butterfly tutorials, I thought it was hiiigh time that we had a drawing tutorial for these delicate, fluttering insects! So here we are: How to draw a realistic butterfly! We'll watercolor this beauty soon—once that video is up, I'll add the link below ;)

I can't explain this but you have just helped me make a quantum leap forward just when I was almost crying - feeling I'd never get what I have kept trying for. Your way of teaching is so perfect, for me. Nearing 80 ..life long artist, all mediums now back to WC's and have been unable, till you appeared...to paint in the loose way I wanted. I think bc I kept wetting the paper. You have put lots of water on at once and not wetted the paper beforehand and while wet to keep putting in gently...additional colours. Somehow your way has given me renewed hope having listened and watched now I feel so much more capable to keep going. Thank you so much and don't change how you are talking to us ...soft and gentle. Wonderful !!!

Tysm you are the best their is a kdrama namely nevertheless and in it the actor loves butterflies i am totally into it. I am myself a calligrapher and i wanted to draw a butterfly but could not draw it after watching your video i did it the left side was a bit difficult to draw but finally i did it. I would like to know approximately what size are these drawn/painted at?
I would like to do multiple on one sheet, but I believe actual size maybe to small for details… and I don’t want to go too big.
Do you have a suggestion?
