I'm going on my first ever Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette now 9 Dec 2024. Will be a solo cruiser. Pretty excited. Hope I like the experience.

April 22 / transatlantic crossing 13 days. My husband just got diagnosed terminal so this will be his farewell cruise. Hope it’s still up to pare.

Sounds like thruster noise in your cabin. I like inside rooms. They're fine. I'm no fuss when it comes to staterooms. The rest of the ship matters a lot more. I think Silhouette is my favorite Celebrity ship overall. But the Solstice class for me is "proper" Celebrity with proper defined as what the original Celebrity set out to do adjusted to current times. I'd say Edge class are a more "Cirque" type of entertainment ship with an emphasis on suite passenger amenities and prioritizing as well.

Thank you for your positive review. I board the Silhouette April 8 for a six B2B, same balcony cabin for 59 days, 4 days will be your Key West. 2025 will be a four B2B on the Solstice for 51 days. I enjoy Solstice Class, not yet tried Edge Class.

Researching cruises for my mother and I in 2025. Is this a good cruise for mother/ daughter trip? We have only ever been on Norwegian. They are getting a bit pricey for us.

Thanks but a four night cruise to lacking ports gives little chance for objective evaluation--my only cruises on X have been 2wk. plus and looking ahead to NE/Can/Greenland/Iceland on this classic ship--can't wait.
