When Ronnie Dunn says "let the horses run" he is referring to the horse power of the engine in his truck when he is flying down the highway. "Do-si-do" is a movement in Square Dancing and is called out by the "caller" telling the partners what dance step is next.

Scoot means move something or someone along. So sliding the boots across the floor?. Do-so -do refers to Square Dance moves.

DO-SI-DO is a Square Dance move, or step. It's great fun!

When you're dancing... your boots scoot across the floor. It's a reference to dancing in a country bar(honky-tonk). It has a dance made specifically for the song... but you can do many dances to it. Line dancing is a lot of fun, and you don't have to be a good dancer to catch on. Especially if you stay in the middle. Every time you turn in the dance... there's someone in front of you, so you can watch the steps. 😊

Any time you are at a get together that is either in the "country" (at least in Texas) or "country" themed, you will most likely hear this song at some point.

My favorite songs from Brooks & Dunn are That Ain’t No Way To Go; Whiskey Under the Bridge; Neon Moon; Hard Workin’ Man; She Used To Be Mine; Brand New Man; She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind; If You See Him, If You See Her (with Reba McEntire); and of course Believe!

A do-si-do is a square dance move in which dance partners begin facing each other, then simultaneously pass around each other, passing back to back, and wind up back in their starting positions. The term apparently was derived from a French term.

Anyone can line dance - it's perfect for people who lack rhythm and imagination. This guy is so nice, he'd fit in fine!

Hi! Thank you both for your cool reactions. A Do-Si-Do is a Square Dancing move with a partner. The metal on the back of cowboy boots is called a spur. Of course there are a pair so they are called spurs. Spurs were used to “spur” or hurry a horse along to get them to gallop, poking the horse to keep moving.

Love this song! You two should take country line dancing lessons and country two-step lessons. So much fun and you get a great aerobic workout, too. 🙂 ... "Do-si-do" is a square dance move in which the coupled dancers pass each other right shoulder to right shoulder and circle each other back to back.

Hahaha I love you guys! Don't worry I'm not coordinated either. I'm really sick and this just made me laugh and feel a little better. Thank you
