I’ve been everywhere. Providence? Worst city? Not even close.

The title is erroneous. Although some stats cited are correct, Providence certainly is not the "worst place in the USA." There are many other ghetto-strewn cities far worse than what was described here. Even this video showing a sample drive-through of the city is decent. There is no graffiti noticeable and overall, the streets and infrastructure are well-kept and clean.
Providence is home to an Ivy League school (Brown) and several other fine colleges.

I would say that the title of the video is disparaging simply to generate attention and clicks. Poor script, too. The video is just a drive in traffic in the downtown area and her narrative does not correlate to the video. For example, she talks about parks and restaurants in Providence while the viewer is staring at the back of a truck. And the negative statistics that she cites don't differ that much from many other Eastern cities of similar size. Yeah, like many cities, to live well, you should have a decent income. Or maybe, if you don't have a lot of money, have a minimalist lifestyle. And oh yeah, there is crime – big surprise! Anyone with street smarts and who is not a criminal is generally not going to find trouble. Comparing a city like Providence to "national averages" is misleading; "national averages" are going to include areas like rural Kansas and the suburbs of Minneapolis. I suppose there are people that like those kinds of places. But grit, some crime, and a higher cost of living are just the facts of life in most bigger cities that people actually want to live in. Most people get by just fine.

Mention that the city includes some of the best colleges and universities in the nation…including Brown University where many famous people have attended.

Its a city...its gonna have crime. Ive walked the streets at night no problem and felt much safer than other cities ive been to. I feel like ur just reading statistics that deal with the outskirts of the city
