The 1,200 FPM Otis High-Speed Elevators of TERROR in Chicago, IL

Let's ride this 60-story Otis with Dewhurst buttons that I've ridden on about a year ago, and I've noticed a slight change with the floor indicator ever since. Still, these things run pretty fast, but they're horribly maintained. Also, "PL" stands for Plaza Level, not Parking Level.

Honestly, I wish they all elevators ran like this... because most of them did when I was a kid... It's interesting how when I was young, elevators shook and rattled and my movements were smooth and stealthy. Now elevator are so smooth... and I shake and rattle when I walk. Damn!! Also, if Uncle Tupelo had to break up, at least the next incarnation gave us Yankee Hotel Foxtrot...

God and I thought a seven-story Otis series 1 traction elevator that I was on a year ago was bad. These are just as bad, but they’re taller.
