Get ready for Time Team's first brand new episodes of 2024!

For our latest three-day dig, Time Team joins forces with the people of Modbury to uncover their dramatic history. We hunt for clues throughout the town, in attics in living rooms, and under brand new lawns. We're looking for for evidence of Civil Wars that raged through the town in the 17th century.

Time Team are joined by Jim Stetson, whose family sat at the heart of the community before they left for America to find their fortune making hats. But will we piece together the dramatic ups and downs of Modbury and its fascinating history? We have just three days to do it!

Join us for the official three-part premieres, right here on the Time Team Official YouTube channel:

Day One: Friday 5th April, 7pm BST

I really feel like "new" Time Team is beginning to find its feet and its specific style. Each new episode seems better than the last!

I couldn't believe that one of my favourite TV shows had actually returned and after watching this episode, it's like meeting an old friend, it's excellent, I'm so pleased!

Hi from Albany, Georgia USA! I started watching time team back in the early 90s whenever it would come on the history channel late at night. I would literally set my clock to wake up early so I could watch it then go back to sleep. I’m 56 now and love the show even more now.

Every time I see flint, I think of Phil. I learned to flint knap because of his influence in the old Time Team episodes. I enjoyed this program, looking forward to the other two.

I watched this during the premier with my toddler. Every time Stewart came on screen he would stand, happy shriek and point. I've watched the last few episodes with him and he always gets excited when Stewart's on. Not sure why Stewart is my little boy's favorite but he definitely is.

This has the all the "feels" of the best of Time Team, the community, children, good banter between the experts, great start to what will become a "classic episode" in no time.

And how great to see so many familiar faces with all the new experts, and all the new tech.

Thank you for allowing this episode to be viewed for free. The show is my favorite! I have always had a penchant for things past and English. Time Team is the only show I have ever binged.

This one really has that classic TT feel. Fascinating site, and Gus has really gotten comfortable in his role since the first dig.

I had a workplace accident over 10 years ago. I was stuck in bed or a chair for 18 months, Time Team got me through those days, I started with episode 1 and watched each one in order. I looked forward to getting up each day, you became family and I love each of you for the part you have played in my life. Still in love, and that will never end. ❤

It is so hard to wait for the next episode! But I am just thrilled with the new Time Team. Love the format. And love having so many of the 'old' team back. Congratulations, all.

This is beyond fantastic! Time team back again! I am happy to have helped a tiny bit to make this happen. The information is all so exciting! We are living in the future with all this new tech too! I makes the Classic episodes look like "OMG look at the old laptop" or "Mick in front of a huge CRT" I love all of it. It's not just the hundreds or thousands of years back. It also is made during a major change in the very tech we have begun to use daily in the decade almost 2 this show was made, and now continues to be made! Helicopters to drones, but old methods like drawing instead of CGI are still valuable, so is measuring by hand instead of by laser. There is no harm at all in using all those tools. It is so brilliant this show is.

It’s so nice to see my TimeTeam team! Would like to see more of Tony Robinson, Phil, Raksha, Brigid, and Paul. Miss Mick Aston tremendously!

Having a bit of a wander with Ainsworth seems like it would be cracking great fun.

I really like the format for this. An episode for each day, only wish each could be an hour and not a half hour. So interesting to see the maps with the armies marching, Stewarts walking trail and the town with the surrounding areas. Great work everyone.

all i can think about is that initial print out from the athelney site all those years ago, and how much pride and joy it provided in addition to information. John personally responded to a curiousity question i had sent to the survey company he provides, and it too just made me beam with happiness. Time Team was my introduction to geophysics, and now between it and stewarts mapping i will never look at the world the same again. SO many times this program has saved me from drowning in a deep pit of depression and anxiety and adhd. i cant thank you folks, and your patreons enough. This is about so so much more than just archaeology, which itself would have been a big gift all alone. Love you guys, many happy returns.

Josh
