Easily became one of my favorite moments in anime this year. It just felt so real in the moment and the fact of someone caring about Akari so much to just find her made me cry with her. Nothing is worse than having your heart broken especially in high school when it’s such a new thing to experience so to have someone there for you and care about you like Jiro did makes it easier to deal with. This anime is so well done and one of my favorites from this year

To me Jiro did everything perfectly in this scene! He heard Akari crying on the phone and didn’t ask any questions. He just wanted to find her. Once he found her he says welcome home! Then says it again but says welcome home Akari! A few episodes back Akari mentions why she loves her name and that when people close to her say her name it helps her a lot when she’s struggling. Then finally he just gives her a hug to make sure she can let it all out. I love this show so much!!! I want a season 2!

I feel like there isn't nearly enough people talking about the fact that his first response to hearing her cry over the phone was to ask "Where are you" No hesitation, he was rushing to get out there and find her.
