The definition of a conscript is a person who has been compelled to join an army. Most conscripts are reluctant soldiers.
This is a universal definition regardless of country or war. Very few conscripts would say they were happy to comply. It would therefore be very easy to find a conscript with a negative message.
Conscription is therefore not the ideal but is necessary.
