As an archaeologist I’ll tell you that this would be more of an historian thing, Link nailed it, it has to be roughly 100 years or older for us to be involved most of the time. But sign me up for the little smokies research team.

Link: "You know what, there are no rules for this game."
Rhett: "No, there's a whole scroll full of rules, actually."

You could tell Rhett didn't care about his shuffle, he just wanted to get back to that cheeseball 😂

Link getting caught up on crescent rolls not being invented yet is funny. As if puff pastry and croissants haven't been around for 100s of years lol

How is Rhett so good at guessing 😭 most of his answers are literally on point or close to it

Is there going to be a Smelling Bee? I’m sorry people didn’t watch it last year on Thanksgiving, but it is one of my favorite games. 🐝👃

Crab cakes were popular pre 1930s in Maryland. Even had a Maryland crab cake recipe published in the mid 30s. Marylanders were taught how to make them by the native Americans.

Shrimp cocktail was popular in the 1920’s. I remember seeing it in old cookbooks.

In Link's defense, pillsbury crescent rolls were invented in 1965. Original pigs in a blanket were sausages wrapped in bacon in the UK, rather than wrapped in crescent roll dough. The US version can be traced back to at least 1940, when a US Army cookbook lists "Pork Sausage Links (Pigs) in Blankets" - canned biscuits (rather than flaky crescent roll dough) came about in 1931.

I love how Rhett usually provides actually decent logic for his answers, but he wraps it up in a silly, charismatic delivery, and after being totally correct, Link consistently chooses to think Rhett is just BSing it and getting lucky.

I’m an aspiring Archaeologist. I think Rhett just gave me my life’s motto: “When fate gives you Archeology, you dig.” 🤔😊

Link: "One of these days I'm gonna use both hands again and I'm gonna show you what for"
Rhett: "... okay 👀"

As much as I don’t want to admit it, I identify with Link so much in my everyday life 😂
