These are the VERY middle aged crisis im going through and although i have my father's personal surgical clinic, i have zero interest in this profession although i have just done my housejob but seeing all the fuss in this profession just made my heart that im not for it.
And in Pakistan, the factor of personal financial stability in this field is a game of 7-8+ years after mbbs.
Countless of confused guys like us here.

Everyone has their own battles. This advice is for my Muslim colleagues. I would recommend praying istikhara when embarking on such pursuits and going in that way which Allah makes easy for you! Jahan aap ka dil khush hai inspite of challenges, I think that area is your destiny. Always try to pray and be good to others. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I decided after 15 yrs of passing my mbbs that WHAT I ACTUALLY WANT TO DO IN MY LIFE….
Just yesterday I told my mom ( once again) k bhai ab choonkay ghalatee say mairaa dimaagh taiz thaa aur unfortunately I was also very obedient and I passed MBBS in first attempt DO NOT MEAN THAT I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING AND THAT FOR THE REST OF MY LEFTOVER LIFE ALL MY FAMILY WILL BULLY ME FOR NOT PURSUING MY CAREER THE WAY THEY WANTED ME TO DO.

This is indeed the most asked question. But things in Pakistan are becoming increasingly frustrating with every passing day in medical field. Its getting extremely competitive and economically challenging to opt for any pathway. So automatically whatever we say as seniors the element of "rush" won't stop. Personally my rush stopped after my recent trip to UK when I met a lot of Doctors and realized rush is part of my desi gareeb thinking 😂
