We all should know by now that a lot of apps use our location data collected from smartphones to target ads at us. Now, a scary new report by the New York Times report has opened up another can of worms for a number of apps collecting and selling location data of users which could potentially reveal intimate secrets about them. You, me and a lot of us are targets of location tracking companies which track our every movement and these apps are sometimes updated more than 14000 times a day. Thanks to advancements in location tracking technology, The Times reports that companies in the location services business collect data about the precise movements of users through apps disguised in the garb of providing Local News and Weather information. According to studies, 1200 Android apps on Google’s Play Store and 200 apps on Apple’s iOS Store were found to have code that tracks location to the point of exact longitude and latitude of a user.

Everything that has a beginning has an end...Sony has officially announced that starting March 2019, the company will no longer support free games that come with PlayStation Plus Subscription on the PS3 and the PS Vita. Sony says February 2019 will be the last time the company supports the six free games structure. With a PlayStation Plus Subscription, gamers currently get two free games for each of the platforms – the PS3, PS4 and the PS Vita. However, Starting March 8, 2019, the PS Plus monthly games lineup will focus on PS4 titles and no longer include PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles.

Popular safety glass maker Corning has developed a new 0.1mm ultrathin bendable glass, which is said to bend to a 5mm radius. This means that the glass showed off by Corning is even thinner than a normal human hair and the smaller bend radius suggests that it can fold almost completely in half. This is Corning’s new innovation to make foldable phones sturdier and less prone to scratches or breakage. However, don’t confuse it for the glass used on Samsung’s foldable phone. Corning is yet to commercially release its new bendable glass and it looks like foldable is the future of smartphones to come.

Season 7 for Fortnite is underway right now and Epic Games just revealed all the patch notes for v7.01 of the game. As expected, the new update adds a new sword to the game as well as a bunch of other features including bug fixes to ‘Save The World’ mode as well as ‘Battle Royale’. It also brings changes to the new Creative Mode. The new sword is called the Infinity Blade from Epic’s other game series of the same name. it is described as a Mythic melee weapon that deals big damage and destroys structures. The weapon will be located on Polar Peak, and only one instance of the weapon will appear per match.
