Building open source project - Part II - NestJS and TypeORM

It's a one-hour session where our experts and guests improvise and explore topics live. This is a mentoring initiative for junior and middle science and technology explorers. This time it is:

Our goal is to create a template that you can use to start API for your next project. Such projects are usually called starter kits or boilerplates. We will have our focus on working with DB and cover the following topics:
- Run Nest and Postgres locally
- Generate REST API based on DB structure
- Seeders - fill your DB with fake generated data
- Migrations - how to change DB structure on production
- Views in TypeORM

During the session we will touch on the following technologies:
- Postgres as DBMS
- Typescript as the primary language of the application
- TypeORM as ORM
- Docker and docker-compose for containerization of the application
