One could almost say that true regret is the subsequent reflection of retrospective memories in having missed the actual joy we took for granted while living in the present. Isn't it peculiar how we are, often times, living everywhere but in the present only to look back years later to recall those moments we took for granted that we could have enjoyed had we been more present.
