Came here because in Billy's interview with Rick Beato, he mentions how when he was working with Bela he would often just stare at him and think "wtf is this guy even doing??? He's like a wizard or something." lol He just had SO MUCH RESPECT for Bela, it was an amazingly humble moment because it's not like Billy is some sort of medium-level player. lol Dude's amazing. His awe while working with Bela is a great moment. It's an amazing interview. :)

One of the things I love about Billy Strings is the way he obviously loves to learn and is so enamored with the playing of those he makes music with. The way he is transfixed by what Bela is playing at about 3:10 is something I have seen him do with Michael Cleveland, Tommy Emmanuel and Molly Tuttle as well. This is one gracious and kind musician.

Music is perhaps one of the ultimate achievements of the human species! A song like Wayfaring Stranger has an infinite interpretation by singers and musicians. There are special versions of any tune for each of us. There is no ultimate best. So it goes 😊

That was incredible. I felt like it was moments away from collapsing into a musical disaster, and these gentlemen toed that line fearlessly. It was like they were each daring the other to get just a little more into the weeds, just for the fun of seeing if they'd make it back.
