Space Mountain - DISNEY THIS DAY - July 15, 2005

On this day in 2005, Space Mountain at Disneyland reopened after a two-year refurbishment. The attraction kept its original track layout but added new rocket sleds, special effects, and theming. It would also feature a new soundtrack composed by Michael Giacchino. Neil Armstrong was even on hand during the reopening ceremony!
