I knew the body was going to be a significant improvement from the Toybiz body, but I’m genuinely shocked at how nice this new head sculpt is. Silver paint? More accurate design? Photoreal face underneath? Sorry guys, I get that hating Hasbro is a thing that’s accepted in the community, but this figure demolishes the old Toybiz Ant-Man

There's some real rose tinted nostalgia when it comes to those toy biz figures...I could never find this update in stores however.

Should have had an alternate head scalp or a removable helmet with two Hank Phym head scalps with one straight face and the other grinning teeth and a mini version of himself on an flying ant and his shrink gun.

The fact that the toybiz one came out 17 years ago and it has way more sculpted detail (the boots, gloves), has pretty much the same articulation set up (double jointed arms and legs, waist cut, ab crunch) but it has toe joints and better proportions. The new head looks good tho but the shoulders really let this one down.

Toybiz has sharper sculpt & better shoulder proportion, but everything else gotta give the props to Hasbro, good looking fig.

I wonder how Corsair’s shoulders would look on this Ant-Man. I remember people put the shoulders from the Vulcan mold Black Panther on the retro black suited Spider-Man and that helped the proportions a lot. Doing something similar with this ant-man might take it up a notch.

What confuses me is the fact that they just used the Sunfire body instead of using the Vulcan body. Atleast that way it would feel actually like something that came out today.



Theyll probably do a Vulcan body one later down the line arent they 😂

Great review W, but Same thing from Hasbro with a new head… I’m slowly becoming detached from the company … trying to hang in there but Hasbro is not doing much to maintain attraction
