Waste reduction advocates have sought for years to move beyond recycling to advance practices that reduce & reuse waste at its source. While programs to keep durable items out of the landfill have found some success, it’s been much harder to implement initiatives that systematically displace single-use packaging with reusable alternatives on a wide-scale. That is starting to change.

This program features presentations and panel discussions from several private and public initiatives that are developing scalable, closed loop models for expanding reusable cups, to-go food, and other packaging for reuse in venues, restaurants, and other settings.
