Old skills like that should be honored and preserved so they won't be forgotten.

You can tell that man is rightfully proud of his work.

The fact that he makes such intricate patterns almost perfectly using virtually mixed and garbage steel is a testament to his skill and the methods employed

Lost wax metal casting. I did this during my fine art degree, it's incredibly time consuming but so rewarding. The artists are keeping such traditional methods alive too 😊

That is super fine!!! It’s so intricate… it’s stunning what he makes out of homemade clay and beeswax and scraps of metal.
That’s a really beautiful work of art

Breathtakingly beautiful! I hope this craft never dies or becomes forgotten to time. This is far too precious to lose.

As a sculptor I often find the "artful" process of production just as exciting as the actual sculpting itself!
This has given me a new challenge!

I am from Bankura, West Bengal. And my district is famous for Dokra. I am so lucky to have these artisans working around me.

This is beautiful craftsmanship!
WOW a craft that has been kept alive for 4, 500 years! That's admirable! Don't you just love seeing someone dedicated to their craft? It's fabulous!
Indian art is the one of the best, don't get me wrong I love all art and design and each culture is unique and has the most awesome designs but I just love the elaborate, intricate, delicate, decorative elements found within Indian art. I particularly love art featuring Krishna and Radha. I first came across an exhibition of Indian art 25+ years ago and fell in love with it. I love the music too!

In today's 3d printing world, this art looks so endearing and pure. The fact that it has been passed through generations and yet is created with pride speaks volumes about his character. But there is hope! India does not give up so easily. Whilst the world may succumb to mere conveniences, India toils, has always and will always. And it's because of such people. Jai India, Jai Bharat! Keep going! This is just the beginning!

As one that loves handmade art from the world, I am sad these ancient skills are not protected as sacred and honored with stability for generations to come. India's bone carvings are also exquisite. Thank you.

Indian crafts, jewelry, and their ancient architecture are just on a whole other level.

To all of my Indian brothers and sisters, I admire you all so much. I grew up with very little resources and had to made so many things myself. The Indian people have mastered this and I'm constantly in awe of the wonderful things your people do with so little. My dream is to visit the poorer areas of India and take part in these things or just watch. I'd feel so at home.

What an unbelievable talent. Too bad we don’t hold artists up to the level they deserve. Beautiful ~ ✨
