Oahu! MB & Drew's Hawaiian Honeymoon - the Oahu chapter

Показать описание
Oahu, the most touristy of the islands! and the jumping off point for our island sampler honeymoon.
We started out driving UTV Raptors through Kualoa Ranch and making our own low budget Jurassic Park film!
We also drove around the north shore, stopping for shrimp & surfers as well as a Dole whip at the Dole plantation & checked out their Botanical Gardens.
For a more customized experience, here are some of the individual stops:
We stopped for some amazingly delicious traditional Hawaiian food at the Highway Inn Restaurant on our way back to Honolulu. We also checked out Arnolds Tiki Bar.
Day 2 we explored the Polynesian Cultural Center. We learned how to dance hula, renewed our vows during a Tahitian wedding, and paddled a canoe. It is very interactive!
Day 3 we spent some time at the Bishop Museum learning more about Hawaiian history & culture.
We also checked out Lanikai brewing for island inspired brews & spirits. I really wish you could taste these with us! The macadamia nut amaretto was divine.
We stayed at the Rainbow Tower in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. We had an ocean view as well as a view of the city. Believe it or not, we didn't have to pay for our room at all because we had enough points. The other awesome part of paying with points? You also avoid all of the taxes & fees which can be over $50 a night by themselves. All we had to do was pay for parking. These rooms range from $450-900 a night! We stayed for FREE.
