Better way of figuring out if you're right or left eye dominant: look at something small ish across the room and focus on it. Then stretch out your arm and point your finger in between your eyeline and the object, while still focusing on the object (you should see two of your fingers). Now if you close your left eye and your finger is still on the object, you're right eye dominant, and vice versa 👍🏻

For those who have their object moving no matter which eye, try it again but use the point where your fingers/thumbs connect as a "crosshair" and try to center your "crosshair" on the object.

I tried left handed mode once and it messed with my aim so much, its almost like the left side felt heavy and I was overflicking to the right

I tried it out on january and my aim got a lot better but I wasn't able to play for a couple of weeks so my aim isn't the same. I'll probably work on it in the summer

I am left eye dominant but I like having the gun on the left side for counter straddling. My left eye picks up on it faster with it being there and I found I am able to time it slightly better when my vision of the weapon bob matches my muscle memory

Well damn, this vid helped find out I was actually left-eye dominant which explains why left handed mode has always made me play worse. Thank you!

The truth is, this won't change ANYTHING at all in your gameplay, it's purely a placebo effect. The reason they added left handed mode in the first place is for people who switched over from CSGO because they are already used to playing left hand model for years, but it makes absolutely no difference it's just copium for people who think "oh I'm trash at the game so if I change my gun to left hand it'll fix everything"

Finding out im left eye dominant like this will now cause me to think abt it all week 😂

Not necessarily better. If you're right eye dominant, having the gun on your right side will make you more accurate, while on the left it's gonna give you better spatial awareness and may notice things like agents hiding in cheeky spots easier or instantly spot cypher cameras. Atleast thats my experience with it anyway

guys make sure you equally using both eyes and just not one eye when focusing on the object in the middle. its pretty much being crosseyed first and then doing the test

Even though i should be using left i find more comfortable because my mouse is on the right and every other shotter uses right hand aswell
