Bravo Burt. Looks like that meter could use a capacitor across it to slow down the action a bit.

@EdWatts First rather than just say "turn", say where and what you are talking about. I thought it was a caption in the video, then a comment I made and finally I found it in the description which was easy to fix. Thank you for noting the error however.

Burt, I think I have finally found a hypocrisy with your video. If I am not mistaken, in a previous video you mentioned that some operators, when transmitting SSB, FM or AM will use the word "we" when talking about themselves, ie., "We have been a ham for over 5 years now." This is what you said in several sentences, sometimes changing from "we" to "our". Is this a touche' or am I temporarily confused? hi 73's Mac W4OSD

@burt2481

Look at your caption. How does one "turn" a transmitter? You might also review the audio; your tube descriptions don't exactly match what is shown on the schematic. I still love ya, Burt.

Fantastic video Burt. Enjoyed it very much, as always. Would like to see more of that rig + your others of similar vintage. Now those are REAL radios...proper tuned circuits. Thanks again. 73;s

Those were nice little, affordable transmitters, which also gave the Novice some experience building a kit.

You may be right, where exactly did "we" say it?

That was a very informative video that helped refresh my memory. I was a little confused with the instruction part of my manual, but you totally clarified my concerns. I was loaned a DX-20 coupled with a Gonset G33 receiver when I received my novice ticket back in 1963. WN9MOW  I’m reliving those novice years with a newly purchased DX 20 that’s in pristine condition.  I also found another somewhat rare Gonset G33.  It’s taken me almost 2 years in performing a total detailed restoration on the receiver.  Both units are now ready for “Straight Key Night” in remembrance of those wonder years.  Thanks again. 73's KE2GQ

Thanks for ALL the DX-20 videos. I just picked one up from the estate of Ralph KD1R, and I'm trying to decide what to do with it. At the moment, it's complete, but inoperative. I might get the recap kit, test the tubes, etc. Or I might sell it, as is.
