After describing a world in ruins, the Bible tells us, “Then shall two be in the field: one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill: one shall be taken, and the other left.” How could the world be destroyed, and at the same time, people are going about their daily lives, working in the fields, grinding at the mill?

Let’s take another look at the imagery of the Second Coming. The Lord is to appear in the clouds, and every eye will see Him. But how could this be possible?

An object in the clouds can only be seen for a few miles across the earth’s surface. Even the sun and stars can only be seen by one hemisphere at a time.

For every eye to see the Lord’s return would require the suspension of the natural laws of sight—a constant miracle defying all physical reality.
