I just bought a very expensive scooter from someone for $1, 600 only has 50 mi on it but the damn thing keeps shutting off after a few miles. The battery dies really quick and it's not the way that I drive. Any clue at what it could be?

How fast does it go in the first gear? As a normal version not tuned
