Is Oman on your bucketlist?

Oman is a rising tourism star in the Middle East, but while most probably first think of mosques, souks, wadis, and deserts…the thing I wanted to see the most there was the Dimaniyat Islands, and specifically, these turtles. 🤓🐢 (But I was not expecting to see nearly 20 of them! )

I was actually very nervous to do this boat trip for two reasons though!

1. Was because I had gone to the hospital the day before with diagnosis of a stomach infection, so I was severely worried about, ya know, needing to 💩 nonstop on a boat.

2. Since I was in a Muslim country, I knew regular swimwear isn’t exactly appropriate, so I was very stressed trying to pull something together that was modest, even though the boat company said it would be fine.

It turned out to be fine, even though I was the only woman not in a long sleeved/legged suit, so I’d definitely recommend doing this boat tour when you visit Oman!

I easily booked this day trip through @getyourguide and after researching all the local companies, i went with Pearl Dimaniyat Diving (they also offer diving but the divers ended up being jelly that they didn’t see as many turtles!)

I did have to completely miss the Wadi Shab trip, and spent the day in the hospital instead, but hopefully I can return next year!
