It's not possible because, unlike the other creatures, Link's pocket is not survivable for fish and they have been in there for HYLIA KNOWS HOW LONG.

Fish obviously wouldn't survive out of water long enough to transport them. If only we had some kind of *bottle* to keep them in...

Fish out of water can only live so long.

It is possible. Use zelda amiibos which give fishes. Just make appear them above the water and yeah your fishes will live in.
Only problem is if you go away from that area and come back, the fishes won't be there anymore.

Well typically you leave those fish in your back pocket 378 days so i think thats why

But actually, what _should_ really work is when you drop fish via amiibo, they should stay there!

I haven’t tested it but it might be possible with amibo drops. If someone has an amibo that spawns fish please test this for me

The same reason you can't just catch fish in real life and stick them in your pocket for a few hours and then put them in a pond

And that’s not all! When you summon the chest for Link Windwaker Amiibo the game spawns the chest _and_ a lot of _live_ fish.

I spawned the chest in the water, the fishes where alive, I had like 7 in total and I was happy. Went to farm some lynels, came back with 2 hearts to sleep and check my acquarium.

_Nobody was there. My life is a lie. Nintendo stole my fish_

Because the fish have been long deceased.

It remeber me of the fact that in subnautica fish can live in your pocket meaning that you can take them, put them in a closet and then 1 years later take them out and putting them in the ocean without consequences

I think you have to deliver the fish via 1st class air mail, not suffocate them in your pouch .

your pocket doesn’t have water in it, and you have a fish out of water for so long

First thing I did when I built that pond was to accidentally grab the carp that came with it. I tried to put it back but the 1 second that it was in my inventory was enough to kill it :(
