2018 Audi S5 Coupe Test Drive Video Review

Audi is on a bit of a roll as of late and if you haven’t been paying attention to this German Luxury Car brand then you have been missing out. The S5 coupe has a base price of $54,600. The engine in the S5 is a turbocharged 3.0 liter V-6 that makes 354 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a ZF 8-speed automatic. On the inside the 2018 Audi S5 is packed with tons of technology. The TFT screen in the virtual cockpit allows you to display as much or as little amount of information as you want.

I have the Sportback S5, and this is my 5th Audi in 25 yrs. And thus far the best and fastest. Stock, I'm getting to 60 in pretty close to 4 seconds flat. The car is very fast and super punchy off the line. I was sitting next to an RS3 at the dealer, which was actually a few $$ more (it was $70k and change) ...and although I think that car would pro. be a blast to own, for the same money (even a few quid less), you could own an S5. For under $100k, this car is a must to consider. Love it thus far. Did get all options - and will conclude in saying the Torque vectoring is a serious tool for back road running, partic. coming out of tight curves under heavy throttle, keeps the car totally inline.

2018 Gotland Green S5 Sportback ... love it. Drove a 440i GC and EClass, this was nicer and just more car for the money. Materials are fantastic, in/out! Tech is nice. Milano leather seats with cooling/heating work wonderfully. And the 3.0T motor??? ...this is the more powerful version of the same mill used by Porsche in the Panamera / Cayenne. Fast, loves to rev and with a light foot, get's great MPG. I run the car hard/eat up back roads, still get 20mpg on avg. Great car!!

Not gonna lie. That fuel economy is amazing for what these things are. Both the S5 and A5. My Corolla didn't do much better than that A5.

If you are say...5'8" the RS3 and the S5 seems like a puzzling comparison, but if you are 6'4" there is only one real choice.

I was that guy i went to the Merc garage and they couldn't even let me look at the C43 for about 8 weeks. I drove the 2 miles to Audi and there was an S5 coupe in stock sat on the S plinth. I bought it there and then for about 55k GBP. 5 thousand miles in and I like it. Wish the exhaust was meatier and my MPG is struggling to get above 20 though I only seem to do the school run in it. I have short clip of me picking it up on my channel.

Great review! just got one and wondering about the driving details. Whats the difference between comfort vs dynamic and D vs S?
Which mode will feel more responsive and is more "fun to drive" between D dynamic or S comfort?

Nice review. Good car. Dated looking even with the refreshed front and rear ends. That greenhouse/stance is like a decade old. I like Audi, but the competition has done a better job of keeping their coupes familiar yet visually fresh.

Problem is Merceds is too show off, and BMW is so ordinary for a standard 4. So you are left with this if you want that higher level "S" with a little comfort and space with rocket speed and 4WD. There is too much chrome on it, especially around the windows but oh well.

Audi RS3 all the way faster more visceral machine can’t beat that Quattro tuning and four doors I know what most of you will say that is too small but really you don’t need a bigger car plus will have that hellcat for breakfast and that ZO6 for lunch
