I would love to think we shouldn't have to worry about politicians changing their minds every 4-8 years. But I've seen priorities change before. The public needs to make sure those politicians know how important space travel is to our future on this planet. I'm optimistic by nature, but pessimistic by policy.

I respect Jeff Bezos hard work, he definitely earned that Amazon money. I also don't begrudge him his luxuries and toys. It's not my business how someone else spends their money. It's how little he's willing to risk on his own that bothers me. Nobody will remember or give a shit about how big his yacht is. We will all remember who went to the moon and Mars, and who stood in the way.

Once SpaceX proves Starship/Superheavy safe & reliable, there will be a lot of interest in going to the Moon, and by opening up Lunar exploration, SpaceX will hone its skills for going to Mars!

another good episode, I like the channel. I'm surprised only price comparisons were mentioned for landing on the moon & not the massive difference in payload amount that spaceX is able to offer vs all other competitors. I suppose it's common knowledge for those of us interested in such things though.
even if someone would undercut spaceX moon landing price.... they still can't compete with a mere fraction of the payload amount per landing without making totally new lander designs
