I used to live in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Despite being ghetto, it defiantly was better than any of the worst hoods like Philadelphia, St Louis, south side Chicago, Detriot, and so on.

It is typical major CT city that is past its glory days.

Im from this city born and raised. My grandmother told me during the 50s it was a great city with New York likeness to it and once drugs and uprise of violence came in the 60s, 70s and 80s especially .. The city hasnt recovered much like any other big city with its crime. Some ppl in the comments say it doesn't look so bad, yeah neither does Compton with it's nice looking cookie cut neighborhoods with palm trees but go to Compton and find out then 💯 .. Same thing with Bridgeport .. Come visit and find out 🗣

This was an interesting tour. The streets were clean no trash thrown around like most of the cities.

So glad I got out of this shit hole...the literal arm pit of the North East or as Family Guy roasted saying “I’ll have you know that Bridgeport is among the world leaders in abandoned buildings, shattered glass, boarded up windows, wild dogs and gas stations without pumps.”

I left CT 4 years ago. Thank god I did. The place is so depressing.

As Hoods go, Bridgeports ain't that bad. If anything, a lot of the houses are quite quirky.

Looks like a rather depressing place to live.

My goodness back in the sixties and beginning of the seventy Bridgeport was great and no trouble in the streets.

Connecticut is a ghost town, everyone is used to staying indoors.

There's a section of town called Black Rock that's quite nice. Also some parts of the North End are decent.

I was in Bpt yesterday. But it's only 15 minutes away, so not really a trek.

I haven’t watched yet but the “Father Panic Village” projects was wild in the 80’s I was young but watched tie news when my parents did. Bridgeport, Waterbury, Hartford, New Haven (my city) Ct. all have trenches believe that

Why are all American cities so dirty? Dont you clean up yourself at all? How can you live in such a mess?

I think they have great pizza there right? Been downtown a couple times after New Roc City, but I don't remember where the pizza came from.

I grew up in Fairfield back in the 60's and Connecticut is even more ridiculously expensive to live in now, but I still love the state, given all the great memories and friends I had there.

Is CT actually dangerous or does it just look dangerous??

Most of those cars have been abandoned over a decade ago and have hobos an prostitutes living and, "working, " out of about half of them. The city can not afford to get these derelict cars towed and as scrapped. Thus, the prostitutes use the old vans as, "honeymoon suites, " and the hobos use some as toilets and others as motel rooms.

I remember a friend taking me through some of those Connecticut hoods. I was like "This is the hood"?? She said "Yeah, this is Connecticut, they're not going to allow our hoods to look like hoods in other states". I said "oh".
