I have a tube of white colour - without label. The paint is very heavy and tests positive for lead.

This lady should try getting a spectrometer for identification. Generally the chemical composition of these rare paints is very well known, and even a basic spec read should be able to discern Mummy Brown from Raw Sienna.

I was wondering- when the paint dries is it still super toxic? Would someone be able to do a painting with old toxic paint and when it dries, hang it in their house?

I bet a blacklight could help make the old label ink more legible. Worth a try!

I'd love to commission a breathtaking painting using the most vibrant, poisonous paint in the world

I don't know what to say about it, Bekah. But, I really enjoy watching your videos on YouTube! Especially some color theory and other stuff!

That looks like a bob Ross starter set. I see a bunch of his favorite colors to use

If I were you, I'd put my danger suit on for any mystery colors. There's a good chance you'll come across at least one very toxic thing that's not labelled properly!!

I was literally typing "have you found any mummy brown in any of those" when you said "there's a small chance that this is mummy brown" lol 😂❤

I would think mummy brown would have to come from a VERY old collection of paint, not Victorian, but like 1700s

Me, who I am pretty sure threw out dozens of tubes of these rare colors cleaning out my grandmother's house. I figured that if they were in this poor quality no one would want them and had no idea there was such a thing as rare or "extinct" colors lol. Or that some of them were toxic! I feel bad that I may have improperly disposed of them without knowing any better.

I have a lot of old oil paints how do I find what ones may be toxic so I don’t paint with them by accident? Any list available?
