I am seriously addicted now, this is not good. I love how Pearl sounds. I seriously don't think I could ever listen to any other pressing the same way again. Great video Dylan! I enjoyed your thoughts!

Excellent review! I’ve collected a lot of One-Steps over the past couple of years, and they’ve all become the definitive edition of that album. “Sunday at the Village Vanguard” and “The Nightfly” are phenomenal pressings. My copy of Carol King “Tapestry” should be arriving tomorrow, can’t wait to hear that one!

I gotta tell you. These one steps are awesome! I have several titles. I hear more detail than the commercial pressing. Yes they are pricey. Dylan is right, they tend to sell out when announced. It would be wise to plan for these releases and decide which ones you want the most. They do hold their value and continue to rise in price over time.

Just bought my first one step, the Clapton unplugged. It hasn’t come yet so I can’t offer an opinion. Got it at list price, which is a bit steep for me already but curiosity got the best of me.

You did an AWESOME job on this review video!! Spot on!! As one who has a number of One Step pressings, I can say that they are not all created equal (in terms of the listening experience). SRV's Couldn't Stand The Weather, Blood Sweat & Tears, & Janis' Pearl are all phenomenal sounding. The Eagles (first and second albums) are okay - the One Step of the first album is only a little better than my original from the 70s. Paul Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years, while good, was almost disappointing. That said, I have no regrets with any of them.

Hello Dylan ! I don’t own any of these high class pressings, but the way you describe the process, the differences and showing/unboxing them, sure wakes the beast, Hahaha. There’s some classic albums I would very much like to have in pressings like this, oh Yeah, bro. Stay safe.

Great review, Dylan! I think I need to catch up with the rest of the YMOTVC and jump on this bandwagon.

I just pre ordered my first one step. From Elvis in Memphis. I might also get the CS&N one step

I have SRV Couldn't stand the Weather on one step but have not played it yet. I was shocked to hear they were coming out with the Van Halen Roth era, and like yourself, I will not get them all. I will get the self titled and my favorite, which is Women and Childrem First for sure and I hope to limit it to that but you never know right? When those preorders start rolling out I get so crazy and watch if I slip up and get 1 or 2 others!!

I have purchased every issue of this album since it was originally released. I know this album backward and forward. I honestly do not hear anything new or improved in terms of the musicians or of the reproduction of her voice. This album was heavily edited. Listen to the Pearl Sessions, and compare that to the lp Rothchild released
