I never bought the high protein hype but as soon as I started getting 100 to 120 a day I started losing 1 to 2 lbs a week. And now I'm down 12 lbs and will not stop this now. Lol.

i vouch for this! every time i protein binge, i still lose 1-2 lbs the next day. that is if i dont eat carbs with it. but when i eat less, i just maintain my weight. maybe my body is in starvation mode. but yeah it's just a bit expensive because protein is expensive.

I have read studies that high protein diets are dangerous and also that high protein diets are beneficial. This is very confusing and I don't know which to believe. I am now trying to keep my protein intake around 100g a day. I know wonder if that is too high. I happen to be around 170lbs.

I want to say for people who are saying they lost weight in just a few days. While it is possible, healthy weight loss takes 1 week and you only lose about 1-2 pounds. If you losing weight in a few days your probably losing water weight not fat weight. If you losing more than that than it can be unhealthy. Especially if your not getting enough nutrients.

In two weeks I've dropped two clothing sizes and it's like what the actual :O I felt I was losing a bit, but it's only became clear to me in the past few days just how much. Also I've got muscle that's new lol, I always had strength but very little definition I can actually feel my own strength I'm in my mid 40s and this is shocking to me all I was trying to do was cut down my sugar intake so I switched sweets, cake and donuts for chicken and thin cut pepper steak slices.
