Definitely busier than the Type A I bought last year, but just as good in its own way. Such a capable all rounder thanks to the combination of proper water resistance, date, lume, and Seiko VK power. I am keeping both, but it'll probably cost me money in more silicone! Cheers, Jody

Bought the type A based on your previous vids. Absolutely love it - have it on a nato strap and is so light & comfortable I wear it nearly every day. And yes - the sapphire Crystal is just perfect. Still catches me off guard every time I put it on how good it makes the dial look. Absolute winner 👌🏻

Funny, the deeper I get into vintage the more Im amazed at the quality coming out of Ali, the case finish and tolerances are amazing and honestly better than major brands from as recently as the homage watches like this offer amazing value. Also agree that Fliegers should be a little oversized.

My Type B just arrived, I got in on the sale and clicked through your link so hopefully you got a little kickback. Great watch! I opted for the black leather strap, and mine arrived with sandblasted buckle and tang that perfectly match the case... I wonder if they made a change after watching your review?

Yeah, got he B version and it hasn't been of my wrist for 7 weeks now. The 39 mm case with the lugs pronounced downwards and the flat back, due to the thin mecaquartz, gives it an absolute perfect fit. Sure it has some IWC and Fortis vibes, but it holds its own identity. The timekeeping is ridiculous accurate, about -1 second per week over the last just amazing. You won't find a watch with these specs under 5k, honestly. Tell me whitch brand gives you these looks, this accuracy, this fit, with (watertight) screw in crown & pushers?. If Baltany would make a nice metal bracelet for this one, with on the fly adjustment, it could be one of the best watches under 2K. The lugholes are just a bit too close to the case for an aftermarket strap, it will rub the case and damage the band just a bit. But for the price, this is just a stunning watch.

I like this one a lot better than the Type A. To me, the A looked more like a caricature of a watch than an actual watch. However, I only have one chrono with screw down pushers and I hate them. "Oh, look! Something I could use my chronograph to time! I hope it doesn't start before I take off the watch and unscrew the pusher!" The VK67 with the 12 hour timer is a clear winner over anything using VK63.

I picked up one of the "type A" watches last year - it does look even better in real life. I've had a couple of watches with VK movements and both were +1 s/month, so if you like accuracy...

On a normal Flieger I'm more of a type A guy but in this instance, the type B works better for me. I already have plenty of watches and as I struggle to read the date without my reading glasses I can do without.

Love the original and have mine on a sandy NATO - bought as a beater, but end up wearing it 90% time because it is so light and clear to read. I’d say it’s just missing the date complication and lume on the small hands = perfection!

Just received my Type A yesterday. Put it on the exact same Barton strap that Jody did. Ive had the strap for years, goes well with blue dials but goes PERFECT with these, Type A and B. The 2 shades of brown/tan/ match the dial perfectly. Its an awesome watch and I paid $150 including shipping.

This really is an incredible little watch. I moved mine to a ventilated silicone strap and it’s much more wearable and less sweaty than the supplied leather strap. The crystal is impressive, but the movement is what really stands out. I checked mine against the atomic clock several times over the last couple of months and it seems to be off by about +2 sec per month. That’s close enough for me.

Baltany does some amazing work, but I wish they used more mechanical movements instead of quartz. Their A11 homage with the 36mm case, bubble dome sapphire and NH38 automatic is spectacular, and I wish they did mechanical chronos as well.

This just tipped me over the edge--I'm getting one. The VK67 is a criminal underutilized Seiko Mecaquartz movement. I've already got one Seiko VK67 "dress chrono, " but this is the pilot-style 12-hour Chronograph I've been waiting for.

Great job as always Jody. Baltany never disappoints do they? Since I discovered them a few years ago I've not had a bad one yet. They really do make the best military watches on Ali.
