How I got straight 9s in my GCSE exams ~ Cambridge Medical Student Advice :)

In this video I explain some of the key things I did when preparing for my GCSEs back in 2018 B.C. (before covid) when *exams* were a real thing that people actually did in exam halls! in person! with invigilators! and paper and pencils! 🤯

These tips really worked for me - I got 9s in every subject, and as this was the first year the 9-1 system was introduced for most grades, and grade inflation was not yet a thing! Since the pandemic the number of top grades being awarded has MASSIVELY increased.

This video was requested a few weeks back and I'm pleased to say after finishing my final anatomy exams a couple of weeks ago, I found some time to work on this - hopefully it helps some of you out in the next two months!! :)

Please note - this was a requested video and isn't something I'd usually make purely because I don't think comparison to others is a very helpful tool for making academic progress. The best way to improve is through self-reflection and I'm purely sharing this to show you my own experience from 2018.

I came from grassroot family and I am always feeling anxious as my family can't afford the tuition from the outside. That's why I have always been worried of not being able to get higher grades since I receive no extra tuition while my classmates do. But you yourself are a paradigm to me showing me that even if there is no tuition, I can still achieve satisfactory results by being self-disciplined and hard-working enough. What would you recommend for a yr 9 because I’m aiming for all 9s but I’m not sure how much revision to do and how to do it?Currently I’m making flash cards on each lesson.❤
