Sony really should have a protective film on their screens like Samsung out of the box. Makes it easier to handle, especially when wall mounting.

My Sony rep at Best Buy said this A90J has the ability to bring the stand legs into the middle to use for smaller stands. I thought only the A80J had the ability to bring the legs in?

Can you confirm if a Universal Stand (VESA 300 x 300) does work? Sony has said it’s unsafe.

My cabinet is 1290 and the narrowest configuration for a cabinet stand is 1444. I don’t want to wall mount as I rent & I avoid putting holes in the wall.

Hi dan could you tell the distance from the bottom vesa mounts to the bottom of the tv, im guessing its going to be the same as the 55" a80j. I cant find any info on that.

I've just bought the 65" version, I paid for ordered the 55 ", but called back the next day and changed it, I know I would have regretted not getting the bigger one, got to re decorate the living room before I can hang it up, so still in the box for now

If it's wall mounted those panels are as good as garbage. I mean if you ever have to unplug one then you have to take the entire TV down to take panel off.

I quite like Sony normally but this TV does not fill me with confidence especially the stand.
