So cool. I've been working on this for the last few weeks. Front and rear pause guy here. The rear pauae took me a LONG time to get down. Hang in there y'all! Its worth it

Nice job on the biomechanics bit. Understanding the stretch shortening cycle is huge for smooth stroking/pausing.

Nice explanation! I've been trying to slow my delivery, especially a slow backstroke and it's been paying off. A slow backstroke with a short pause, with my focus on the path near the object ball, has definitely improved my ability to place the cue ball where i intended it to go. And hugely that results in a potted ball. My aim is generally good, its my execution to deliver the cue ball along it's desired path that needs (much more) work. And now it makes sense why.

Very good stuff here.. I pause at the cueball and do a slow backstroke before the delivery forward.
It was a hard learning curve but I got there, and it especially helps me on them long straight in shots.
Thanks for the video! Liked & Subbed to your channel. Stay safe. Greetings from Denmark. /Chris.

I watched Efren Reyes and his stroke and pre stroke routine. He always makes one move again after his pause at the cue ball, swing back and shoot. Also he never does a long pause behind. He is more like a watch pendulum. I guess depend on the stroke you make a longer pause behind and sometimes not. Niels Fejien says: you don't need to make always a pause behind. For a huge draw it's better to make a pause behind.

I tried but the pause doesn’t work for me. causes a moment of anxiety like a hesitation. Warmup and when all feels straight I just go.
