In East Texas, what's on voters' minds ahead of the election?

In the heart of East Texas, nestled between three national forests, away from the dry landscape and traffic jams Texas has grown to be synonymous with, sits Nacogdoches. And while the American mantra may have been "Go West, young man," those we spoke with on a recent trip to Nacogdoches told us everything they could want is here in the East.

Sadly, most of Texas thinks like this. East Texas is the kind of place where they play high school football on TV and everyone goes to watch the games on Friday and then church on Sunday. It’s very cheap to live in that part of Texas too. My Texas ticket was all blue!

East Texas... Sounds like a place no major corporation wants to care for
No ports
No infrastructure
I mean these people can continue to live in their little crappy reality, but we’re gonna go ahead and move beyond their small town thinking and they can just stay there and complain about everything that they can control
i’m OK living in the suburbs in my middle class neighborhood.they can sit there and suffer with their two or three jobs because of how they choose to live, and I’m OK with my one job where I get to work Monday through Friday and sometimes I only work four days a week
