Brother you are a life saver! I tried a bunch of other methods to open my stuck paint bottle and they did not work, it is a glass bottle with a plastic lid, so I had to be very careful, but your hair dryer trick did the job! THANK I had a 500ml jar of black gesso that I’ve tried to open for a month (on and off)! I tried everything...rubber mat, hot water, tapping it on the counter. I even contemplated buying a while née jar! I finally found your video. This worked like a charm! One minute with the blow dryer, it came off without strain! Saving this video! I appreciate you. sooo much for that tip!! I have about 100 testpots which were given me(2years ago) and I could never open any.. I didn't throw them out cos I knew there was a solution.. and I FOUND YOU!! They have been stashed out side in the weather in my disgust and disappointment... 30 seconds all round the lid with my hairdryer on hot, and I'm back in business... wow you are awesome for actually taking your time to post this gem!

Wow that worked. I have the exact same Jars that haven’t been open in about 30 years. My daughter has just got into Rock Painting so I thought I would get my old model paints out for her but they are all stuck. One minute with the hair drier and it opened so easy.

I don't have a blower so I use a candle instead and it worked shoot just heat it between the lid and the container for about a few seconds then the lid will open

My method worked as well. It was a large glass container with metal lid. I put some paint thinner in a small pail, stuck the glass jar in and tipped it on edge so all the lid could be covered, left for a bit while i read this youtube solution, went back to it, put on my rubber dishwashing gloves and it opened easily. 👍

My paint tube was stuck and I’ve seen a lot of people use different materials to open the tube which I don’t have, but this worked 100% thanks!
