Did you know that you can negotiate your internet bill? 🤔 #shorts

I originally paid about $60/month for my internet service, but when the plan expired after one year, it automatically jumped up to $120/month (!!!), which was way too much money for me.

I called to ask if they had any way to bring the price back down to around the same amount, and after some back and forth, it was changed to $62/month.

I do this every single year now - it’s a quick phone call in January, and we save hundreds of dollars this way.

If you ever call and for some reason they won’t lower the price for you, just switch internet providers - the new customer promotions are usually a great deal, and then you can call them to negotiate in the future. In my experience, they always lower the price to keep you on as a customer.

It does work, but it can also work temporarily. Some of them don't mind losing you as a customer. It does happen.

In Chicago if you qualify to receive food stamps, there not actually stamps anymore they give you a debit card but anyway if you get that you can sign up for high speed home Internet for $9.99 monthly 😊

All jokes aside though, I found out that Fiber Optics is cheaper than what we had b4. I switched and my price went from $120 to $106 (we have to pay 59 for landline, emergency only).

In Argentina you SHOULD do that because they may charge you much more than it really costs if you don't complain (do this and repeat monthly) 😂😅.
But the thing here is that you have to be angry, they won't do anything if you speak polite 😅
