Good vid. AEDs are very straight forward, but still it is surprising still how many ppl are completely mindless and don't follow the voice prompt... or they place the pads in completely the wrong spot.

If you don't know how fast to apply compressions, sing the Bee Gees song "Staying Alive" in your head and compress to the beat. Sounds like a joke but it works.

Idk why i find it so cool that these exist. Just imagine you are unconscious and you come back with an intense burst of energy and pain and hear a robotic voice say "shock two delivered" . The fact we can manipulate that our bodies run on electricity is pretty wild.

Did you check for a pulse, initially ??

She said tap them on the shoulder and ask them if they're okay ..but she was supposed to say take their pulse and see if their heart is beating ;and check to see if they're breathing..

It’s horrifying that cpr will commonly break ribs and that needs to happen to help them

Might want to check for pulse first and not just check for response. Would not be good to use a defibrillator if person is unconscious but has a pulse.

While AED charging we have to save the precious time and continue chest compressions.only while analyzing rythm and while delivering shock we have to STAY CLEAR..
